Prep wrestling: Big Sky goes 3-0 at Mining City

BUTTE -- Missoula Big Sky made it through the first day of the Mining City Duals wrestling tournament unscathed with a perfect 3-0 record.

In Friday's first day of action, the Eagles beat Helena High 46-22, then squeaked by Columbia Falls 35-30 before finishing up with a blowout of Conrad, 52-12.

The Eagles had seven boys finish undefeated out of its 13 weight classes. That included Jon Conklin at 113 pounds for the Eagles with all three wins by first-round pin.

Demo Koures (120 pounds), Logan McGreevey (145), Jon Andres (152), Braxten Wilcox (160), Luke Entzel (170) and Conner Gordon (205) also all picked up three wins.

Koures, McGreevey, Entzel and Gordon got there with the help of one forfeiture victory apiece.

No other information was provided from the duals.

The tournament continues Saturday at Butte.
