MOBILE, Ala. (AP) -- Ryan Grotjohn scored on a wild pitch in the eighth inning, leading the Jackson Generals to an 8-7 win over the Mobile BayBears on Tuesday.
The play, part of a two-run inning, gave the Generals a 7-6 lead before Jeffrey Baez hit a sacrifice fly later in the inning.
In the bottom of the eighth, Mobile cut into the deficit on a single by Jahmai Jones that scored Brandon Sandoval.
Connor Grey (1-0) got the win in relief while Joe Gatto (3-1) took the loss in the Southern League game.
Jackson took advantage of some erratic Mobile pitching, drawing a season-high 11 walks in its victory.
