Faded license

Faded license? Get it replaced for free at a regional FWP office.

Although the problem isn't widespread, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks' staff is aware that some license vendors' printers may be issuing faded tags.

Ronan resident Greg McGuire said he paid to replace his and his wife's elk and conservation/fishing licenses in early May because they had faded so badly they couldn't be read. The clerk told him that others had experienced a similar problem.

Instead of paying, FWP's Greg Lemon said license buyers can go to their regional FWP office and have them replaced at no cost. Another option is to go online and get a digital version printed off or downloaded to a smart phone. Digital licenses are good for everything but a carcass tag.
