On June 6th we just remembered that over 150, troops landed on the beach at Normandy. Many of them gave the ultimate and never returned.
Between June 4th and 7th we remember the Battle of Midway and all of the lives lost at this time.
Yes, we have veterans' parks and memorials to honor those individuals who have given so much.
Let us now not start giving "zones or squares or even crosswalks" in cities to special groups who have done nothing and sacrificed nothing.
That is a huge mistake and an insult to all citizens. Crosswalks are for the total public.
The Hamilton City Council should vote "No" on June 8th.
