I just had to comment on the letter about treason.
I guess you forgot that demonstrating and disagreeing with your government is in our Constitution! 50 years ago, millions of people, including thousands of veterans, put an end to a senseless war and sent a corrupt president into early retirement.
We have forgiven the Japanese, Germans, Italians, ourselves, etc., for starting senseless wars. Even the English are guilty of repression. They even helped start slavery, before we had it, plus tried to burn down our capital. Now all these countries are some of our best allies.
Can't we forgive our own countrymen for starting a civil war and our founding Fathers for not ending slavery in 1776? Too bad some people were not around back then to right all these wrongs! Just remember, there go I, but for the Grace of God. Oh, by the way, most folks are pretty friendly to pilgrims when you move in, but don't think you know it all! History may be repeating itself. and the beat goes on...
