Whoa! Riding a horse around an empty 55 gallon barrel without knocking it over does not qualify one to hold elected office. Neither does ego, flamboyance and acrylic fingernails.

Ravalli County citizens can be proud to have three highly qualified individuals representing us in Helena.

Dave Bedey, a Hamilton native and graduate of West Point, retired as a Colonel with over 30 years of service. He obtained a degree in physics and returned to the Academy as an instructor in that subject. Upon retirement from military life, he returned to Hamilton and served nine years on the Hamilton School Board District and has been Chairman of that Board for seven years. In addition to those duties, he recently finished his first term in the Montana Legislature.

Nancy Ballance with over 40 years of experience in IT at IBM, retired as vice-president of Farmers Insurance/Zurich Financial. She has served 4 terms in the Montana Legislature and was House Finance and Appropriations Committee Chair during that time. She has also served as Board Chair of the Hamilton School District.

Before her first term as an elected legislator, Sharon Greef had extensive experience as a staff member, serving the Montana Legislature during two of the sessions, while her husband, Ed, was serving there as a representative of Ravalli County. Her experience in the business world includes 20 years in marketing and auditing for a large grocery chain.

Proof of the political qualifications of Dave, Nancy and Sharon are in their various backgrounds of education, corporate, legislative and private business. They are able to thoroughly read, digest and understand detailed and complicated bills presented during legislative sessions. Regardless of which side of the aisle a bill may originate, these three review it objectively and seriously and vote accordingly.

Whoa! Therefore, no reason to send a 55 gallon barrel filled with road apples to Helena, in any capacity, to represent Ravalli County.
