I have no doubt that the Supreme Court's decision to allow corporations to act as individuals and contribute as much money as they desired to any political campaign drastically harmed our political system.
The very wealthy have been able to buy representatives and control our political system for their personal benefit. There is no doubt about it, money controls our political system. Our representatives vote the way of the people who supplied the money so they could stay in the largest club on earth want them to.
We have a debate that refuses to submit bills to the president because they believe (and probably with good reason) that the chief executive will not sign the bill.
Gentlemen (and I use that term loosely) that is not the way it is supposed to work. Bills should be passed and sent to the president and it is his decision whether to sign it and make it law or not. If it is good for the people and Trump refuses to sign it the Senate and House can pass it over his refusal. senators and representatives are supposed to represent the people, not the president.
In my emails I must get 50 requests a day to submit money to further some political event. No matter how much money I could submit the wealthy can out spend me a thousand to one. Money is not the answer to politics. Hard work is the answer. Get out and knock on doors.
