We will miss you, Darlene

We will miss you, Darlene

It is with great sadness that we learned long time Stevensville resident, Darlene Grove, passed away this week.

We have lost another quiet lion. Darlene was always thinking about how to protect what makes our home special, like her work on growth policies and she was the instigator or a champion for many projects that have made Stevensville a better place. Saving the River Park and getting the cutoff bike path constructed are two that come to mind.

For us, she was a great example of what it means to be a good citizen. She set her sights on a goal and pursued them with purpose, but always with grace. She may have disagreed with you, but she was never disagreeable. Darlene, we will miss you, your passion, your kindness and your smile. You indeed made a difference in our lives.

Margaret Gorski, Stevensville and Desera Towle, Missoula
