I just received the ballot to increase the property tax on everyone in Ravalli County.
The Aquatic Center wants more of your hard-earned money, it never stops. The average property tax is $1,401 and looks like the aquatic center wants you to fork over another $57.
This will also affect those who rent because the monthly rent will also go up. About half or more in the county do not use the pool because it is not cost effective to drive from Sula or Darby or those living at the north end of the valley.

Then there are some who want a community college in the valley; they will want millions of dollars. That will add more to your tax bill. If that passes, then a few years down the road they will say they need more, just like the Aquatic Center.
Then I hear that the Corvallis School is thinking about asking for more money to build on the REA property. They are not thinking about those who are on a fixed income and cannot afford the extra taxes'; they will have to cut back on the food and medicine to keep from loosing their house. Vote no on the Aquatic Center.
