I usually don't think much of George Ochenski's opinions, but his column of 10-22 was pretty interesting and got me thinking. Montanan's are used to being the ones to respect our fellow Montanans, from the right, center or left of the political spectrum, and respect opposing viewpoints. A message of division will not "Make America Great Again" but only drag us down. One thing I do take issue is the rampant disrespect for the Office of the Presidency, as Americans, it is our duty to respect our elected officials, even if we do not agree with them until one of them has committed an impeachable offence. I agree on George's take on the body slamming by Gianforte of a reporter, violence to others rarely can lead to a favorable outcome. As Montanan's, lets not let this ugly political season change who we are.
