A vote for Margaret Gorski, for SD 44 is a vote for forest management.
As I breath in smoke from forest fires I believe that we need legislatures that are educated in forest management. We need laws in Montana that aid in the forest management and people that understand the compromising that needs to take place to have successful forest harvests.
Margaret has a degree in Forest Resources with a specialty in Recreation and Tourism. She worked for eight years as the District Ranger in charge of Powell Ranger District in Idaho, where she directed a timber sale program and oversaw the suppression efforts of hundreds of fires. She knows how vegetation management can affect fire behavior. She supported the Gold Butterfly project.
It is rumored that her husband, Skip is a member of the Friends of the Bitterroot group that sued and stopped the Gold Butterfly project. Skip is not a member of Friends of the Bitterroot, never has been, and has never attended one of their meetings. Skip has never been and would never be involved in litigation of the Forest Service. He is completely dedicated to the agency’s mission of multiple use and spent much of his professional career as a wildlife biologist integrating wildlife objectives in timber management projects.
Let us all vote against smoke and forest fires and vote for Margaret Gorski.
