Ever since the Supreme Court told us ignorant people that corporations were people too, and, could contribute as much money as they desired to help candidates get elected to public office, I lost my respect for the Supreme Court.
Corporations are not people, they are institutions created by a state, and, should only have the rights that are given to them by the state that allowed them to become a corporation. States cannot create a person. None of the 50 states can make a corporation a person. Most people believe only God can make a person.
However, the purchased elected officials believe they also have the power to make a corporation a living person. I guess they think they’re God. By doing so they opened the spigot that allowed crooked money to pour out to crooked candidates who vote for government affairs that provide them and their sponsors with personal enrichment. Elected officials only work for their own good and not the good of the people of the United States of America who voted them into office.
Our government was formed to be the government of the people, by the people and for the people. It has been turned into of the rich, by the rich and for the rich. The poor people will have a more difficult time defeating the rich than they had defeating England.
Wake up, America. Your most favorable government is being given to the very rich, who may on occasion hand the poor people a farthing or two, to keep them voting for the candidates of the very rich.
