A 22-year-old Hamilton woman was arrested following a late-night traffic stop Saturday for allegedly possessing heroin and methamphetamine.
Dream Jessyka Anderson appeared Monday in Ravalli County Justice Court on three felony drug charges.
According to charging documents, Anderson was arrested at about 11 p.m. Saturday after a Ravalli County sheriff’s officer saw her driving in Hamilton. He allegedly knew that she was the subject of an active arrest warrant.
When the officer activated his emergency lights, he saw Anderson appearing to shuffle contents around in her car.
Anderson allegedly told the officer that she was “nervous” after being pulled over and admitted she had a handgun in her purse. Anderson is on probation and not allowed to have firearms, according to the affidavit
The charging affidavit said Anderson also admitted there was methamphetamine in the sunglass holder and a container under the backseat for disposal of needles.
While being processed at the Ravalli County Detention Center, Anderson allegedly told the officer there was heroin in a pink bag in her vehicle.
After obtaining a search warrant, the officer allegedly found a baggie of methamphetamine and a baggie of heroin. He also discovered baggies containing 11 Tramadol pills, a controlled substance.
A Rock Island .38 caliber revolver and brass knuckles were also recovered from inside the car, as well as 70 syringes.
Anderson was charged with felony possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute for the methamphetamine. She also faces felony drug possession charges for the heroin and Tramadol.
Anderson was also charged with misdemeanor counts of driving while her license was suspended and failure to provide proof of insurance.
