STEVENSVILLE —Marita June (Bugger) Fassio of Stevensville, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018, at the age of 81 years of natural causes, surrounded by her son and daughter in-law; Bob and Kim Parrish.
June was born on May 4, 1937, to Edgar and Agnes Garlitz in Harmony Township, Pennsylvania. She was the youngest of eight, preceding her in death were her parents, siblings and husband Mel Fassio. She is survived by her children Susan Klein (Jack), Seattle, Washington; Bob Parrish (Kim) Stevensville; Lynne Fassio, Hamilton; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild and two stepchildren Jean Lewis and Melvin Fassio.
June moved to Missoula in the early 60s following her sister Edna and family. For a number of years June worked at St. Patrick Hospital and Forest Service Department. June met and married Mel Fassio and had their daughter Lynne. June was passionate and caring with her daughter Lynne that she cared for over 45 years until her illness prohibited her to continue.
In 1975 they moved from Missoula to Stevensville where she remained until her death.
June loved the Stevensville community; she learned to Toll paint, met new friends at Tops and of course going to Sis’s salon each week to have her hair done (and talk, talk, talk) and later working at Ace Hardware part time were she was the happiest.
She had many friends that she loved dearly, to all of you we appreciate the love and support you shared with her over the years.
Special thanks to Hospice of Missoula – Cindy was truly a blessing to us all. No services will be held per the wishes of June. Condolences and memories maybe shared with the family at www.whitesittfuneralhome.com.
