Although it’s been a long year since Karl passed away on Aug. 14, 2018, he is still very much missed by his grieving loved ones: his father, Edward; brother, Kurt; sister, Rachael; and girlfriend Bridget Boudreaux. It must have been a glorious reunion in Heaven seeing again his mother, Carolee Davis Tolzman; brothers, John and Billy; and grandparents, Tolzman and Davis.
Karl was a compassionate gentleman with rare gift of old fashioned decency which was common in his family, which made him hard to forget when anyone met him. He also had the deep velvety calming voice to match.

Karl attended Randolph Macon Academy in his youth and CCBC for respiratory therapy just before moving to Montana. Karl was an accomplished scuba diver and was the drummer for the band “Throbbing Wolfpack” out of Baltimore. Although his life in Montana was cut short, he absolutely loved it here, as well as the people here. It was his life dream to own his own home in a country setting where he was content with the peace and tranquility of Montana. One of his favorite things was to just be outdoors looking at “our mountains” as he called the view from our outdoor deck.
A Memorial Service at St. Patrick Hospital was held following cremation. We’d like to extend a special thank you to Garden City Funeral Home and Crematorium for all of their love, kindness and support as well as professionalism shown to us all, especially Karl’s family who traveled here from Maryland to be by his side before he passed away at St. Pat’s Hospital.
