Kenneth ‘Ken’ Reiss

HAMILTON — Kenneth “Ken” Reiss, 71, of Hamilton, formerly of Anaconda, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, at Saint Patrick Hospital in Missoula.

Ken was the fourth of six children, born on Dec. 28, 1947, to Frank and Emma Reiss. He grew up in Anaconda and graduated from Anaconda High in 1967. After graduation, he joined the Navy and was stationed on the USS Ticonderoga during the Vietnam War.

Ken married Nancy Harball on Oct. 9, 1971, in Butte. He was a pipefitter/welder Local 41.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Frank; father-in-law, Gordon Harball; brothers-in-law, William (Bill) Thomas, Robert (Bob) Roberts; sister-in-law, Carol Reiss; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Ken is survived by his wife, Nancy, of 47 years; his mother, Emma Reiss; and sisters, Elaine Thomas, Darlene Roberts, Peggy (Gary) Pearson, all of Anaconda; brothers, Lester (LaGay) of Idaho and Dave of Anaconda; mother-in-law, Carol Harball, of Hamilton; brothers-in-law, Andy (Alice) Harball, of Hamilton and Danny (Helen) Harball, of Washington; a very “dear to his heart” aunt, Martina Eckard, of Billings; and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, from 2 until 4 p.m., in the Daly-Leach Chapel Community Room. Memorials may be made in Ken’s name to the St. Jude’s Children’s Cancer Research Hospital or to St. Francis Catholic Parish in Hamilton.
