Rachel Ortega Hunt passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. Rachel was a graduate of Arvin High, class of 1963 and continued her education at Bakersfield College, graduating in 1965 earning her Associates of Arts Degree. She worked at Kern Oil Refinery from May 15, 1967 to December 31, 1990. She married Thomas M. Hunt in 1977 and was married for 43 years. They moved to Montana in 1991 to start up their own business, Title Insurance of Montana. Rachel was admired for her courage and fighting spirit. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her kindness and generosity. She will always have a special place in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her husband Tom Hunt of Montana, sister Frances Rogers, brother Cecil Ortega and sister-in-law Espie Ortega, brother Edward Ortega, brother-in-law John Hunt, close nephew Daniel Ortega and many other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
