STEVENSVILLE — Laura “Sue” Riggs passed away peacefully from complications of cancer on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at St. Patrick Hospital.

She was born on July 8, 1953, in Salmon, Idaho, to Marilyn W. Smith and Joe C. Riggs. She graduated from high school in Baker, Oregon, in 1972. On March 19, 1978, Sue had a daughter, Nicole, and the two of them would weather all of life’s storms together and become best friends for life. Sue loved a good adventure and the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. She had a passion for rescuing animals, a wicked sense of humor and a love for music and dancing. She loved and missed her grandma dearly and shared those stories frequently.

Sue was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn W. Gibson, her father, Joe C. Riggs and grandparents, Glen C. and Laura E. Smith. She is survived by her beloved dog and cat, Keisha and Bella; daughter, Nicole K. Riggs (Summer Bouchard) of Stevensville; brothers, Michael Moser (Leroy) of Tukwila, Washington, Tracy A. Moser of Stevensville, Joel Riggs of Pocatello, Idaho and Corey Riggs of Portland, Oregon; sisters, Connie Hopper of Corvallis, and Jolene (Mark) Welker of Pocatello, Idaho; several nieces and nephews and her good friend, Shawna Munson.

Sue requested cremation with no services and instead she just asked that everyone lives and loves life to the fullest. Condolences and memories may be shared with the at www.whitesittfuneralhome.com.
