Bitter Root Humane Association holds jewelry sale on Saturday

Michele Craig stands in front of the new Bitter Root Humane Association facility with black lab Dakota and Rootie the Dog (Mary Gehl) to promote the "2nd Time Around Jewelry Sale" on Saturday, July 31.

The Bitter Root Humane Association is holding its "2nd Time Around Jewelry Sale" with items for a classic vintage look, new glam designs, or one-of-a-kind treasures on Saturday, July 31, in the Floral Building at Ravalli County Fairgrounds.

“It’s a huge venue and we have thousands of pieces of jewelry,” said association board member Michele Craig.

Generous supporters have donated all forms, styles and types of jewelry including vintage delights, precious and semi-precious gems, one-of-a-kind and beautiful costume bling. There will also be jewelry related items, jewelry boxes, bolo ties, clocks and accessories.

“We’ll have earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces and beautiful brooches,” Craig said. “These are good for Christmas gift or any kind of gift, perfect for crafters and antique collectors. Some of the vintage stuff is amazing.”

“Everything is valued priced from $2 to $5 except the precious stones, they are individually priced,” Craig said. “This is a great sale for collectors, maybe they are looking for jade jewelry or green or Christmas jewelry. We have unique and unusual stuff and it would be a fun thing to do before the rest of the Daly Day activities later in the day.”

“A lot of local artists use the jewelry in their work,” said board of directors member Mary Gehl. “The Floral Building at Ravalli County Fairgrounds will be cool and calm in the morning. We’ll have all our BRHA friendly faces there and a beautiful display of jewelry.”

The Bitter Root Humane Association has been serving the community since 1972 and all proceeds from the sale will go towards caring for all the homeless pets that come through the doors of their new facility.

Enjoy the much awaited "2nd Time Around" Jewelry Sale 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with no entry admission charge in the Floral Building at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds, 100 Old Corvallis Rd, in Hamilton. For more information text, call or email Michele Craig at 406-210-1375 or mycraig@yahoo.com.
