The Darby Ranger District will be accepting applications for the Three Sisters Group Site Campground at Lake Como beginning Monday, Feb. 11, at 8 a.m.
The group site is located near the lake, across the road from the Rock Creek Horse Camp/trailhead. It opened to the public in 2011 and features a large wooden pavilion, eight picnic tables, group size barbecue grill and fire ring with handcrafted benches, toilets, parking for 25 vehicles and a capacity to hold 75 people. There is no water or electricity.
The site is very popular for family gatherings, re-unions, and outdoor wedding receptions.
To reserve your dates for 2019, contact the Darby Ranger District at 406-821-3913 or visit their office located at 712 N. Main St., in Darby. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The Bitterroot National Forest normally accepts reservations for this site beginning Jan. 15, but the date was moved back this year due to the government shutdown.
