An adult male is in custody after leading deputies on a short vehicle pursuit in the Florence area.
Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton said deputies were conducting an investigation into a threats call when the suspect, armed with a firearm, left the area in a vehicle. Deputies pursued the vehicle from the Eight Mile area onto Old Highway 93 in Florence where the suspect stopped, but initially failed to comply with Deputies commands. Deputies were able to negotiate with the suspect and he eventually surrendered. The entire incident lasted just over an hour. Missoula County Sheriff's Office, Florence Fire Volunteers and Montana Highway Patrol assisted.

The investigation will continue. The suspect, 38-year-old Daniel Marc Lieberg was arrested and remanded to the Ravalli County Detention Center for the offenses of intimidation, criminal endangerment and various traffic offenses.
Sheriff Holton thanked the Missoula County Sheriff's Office for their quick response to assist. Sheriff Holton also said he was thankful that no firearms were discharged and no one was injured during the incident.
