All spectators will get in free to two key games for Darby homecoming thanks to Darby Distribution.
The admission fees for the varsity football game Friday and the varsity volleyball game Saturday are covered.
Shelby Rogala, Darby School community outreach coordinator, said the idea of free admission came up at the September school board meeting.
“The next day Darby Distribution said they would love to do that,” she said. “They wanted to pack the stands for homecoming volleyball and football.”
The school board approved it the following week.
“The cost of the game will be waived for everybody, even our rivals get in for free,” Rogala said. “Hopefully, that will entice folks out-of-town and in town that don’t usually come or don’t usually participate in those games to come on down.”
Rogala said Friday is also a time of recognition for senior football and cross-country athletes.
