Celebrate Valentine’s Day strolling Downtown Hamilton for Culture Crawl as local venues will be featuring special artists, musicians, activities and events from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14.

Participating stores will be open and offering great gifts too.

Art Focus located at 215 Main St, is featuring the mixed media work of local artist Leisa Lewis. The show is called Serendipity, reflecting her love of life, and will highlight Leisa demonstrating her encaustic mixed media process during Culture Crawl.

Montana Bliss Artworks Gallery, 101 S. 7th St., will be featuring a special reception for glass artist Kathleen Sheard, entitled Wildlife Art in Glass. Kathleen will be moving out of state soon so this will be the last chance to see her work in Montana. She will also be offering “Special Seconds” of her work in the studio. Don’t miss this special opportunity, 10% of the proceeds from her show will go to Sea Turtle Conservation.

Live piano music by Arthur Kostuk will enhance the reception.

Artisans on Second, 175 S. 2nd St., will be featuring the metal sculptures of Dennis Althoff who is from Superior. Althoff collects junk pieces from junkyards that reflect Montana history. Pieces he finds are remnants of farm machinery, old tools, logging and mining equipment. They become pieces of a puzzle he artistically assembles and welds together for his art work.

Mikesell’s Fine Jewelry located at 201 W Main St. is featuring the striking and magically nostalgic watercolor work of Whitney Weidow.

Chapter One Book Store, 252 Main St., is featuring author Becky Koon who will be discussing the book, Holistic, 22 Expert Holistic Practitioners to Help Heal Mind Body and Spirit in New Ways.

Art City, 407 Main St., is having their Valentine Event featuring local artists, a variety of mediums and selling great valentine gifts.

As always, for Culture Crawl, pick up a Punch Card, visit participating venues, and then turn in your Punch Card for a chance to win a $50 gift card from Art City.
