A Stevensville man has been charged with sexually assaulting a minor last March.

Raymond Glenn Neisinger Jr., 42, appeared Tuesday before Ravalli County Justice Jennifer Ray on felony charges of sex assault, indecent exposure to a minor and one other sex charge.

The affidavit filed by Ravalli County Attorney Bill Fulbright said the assault on a 12-year-old girl occurred in March.

The girl’s aunt contacted the Montana Child Abuse Hotline in August, according to the affidavit. The girl participated in a forensic interview at Emma’s House in Hamilton 10 days later.

During that interview, the affidavit said the girl said Neisinger had molested her, including laying on top of her while “completely” naked.

Neisinger allegedly told several people that he had “messed up” while drunk, saying he had touched the girl inappropriately, but added, “I didn’t rape her or nothing,” according to the affidavit.

Ray set bail at $50,000. Neisinger was released on Sept. 13.

Neisinger’s father, Raymond Neisinger Sr. of Missoula, was sentenced to the Montana State Prison in 2011 to 20 years, with nine suspended, for molesting a girl over a two-year period starting when she was four years old. He remains in prison.
