A meeting Tuesday, Nov. 13 will offer local residents a chance to learn about the state's Certified Local Program that helps communities preserve, protect and increase awareness of their own unique cultural heritage.
Kate Hampton, community preservation coordinator with the Montana State Historic Preservation Office, will lead the discussion that begins at noon at the Ravalli County Museum.
Hampton will also share preservation tools including technical assistance, preservation grants, National Register nominations, heritage education resources and strategies for planning and protecting heritage values in a community.
People are encouraged to bring a lunch. Refreshments and dessert will be available.
