Dear Ravalli Republic readers,
Like you, we love the Bitterroot Valley. And like you, we live here because we can work, play, learn and do business in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
The Ravalli Republic is committed to telling your stories and providing the information that binds our valley’s communities together.
But as many of you know, the newspaper industry has been disrupted by the digital revolution. Many readers now prefer to get their information from our website, our Facebook and Twitter accounts and through other social media. And many advertisers prefer spending their advertising dollars online.
As a result of this shift, coupled with a recent increase in the cost of newsprint, the Ravalli Republic no longer can justify the costs of printing and delivering the paper five days a week.
So, beginning March 1, the Ravalli Republic will only be delivered on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Those issues also will be sold on newstands.
If you subscribe to the paper, you will be receiving a letter from our circulation department with additional information about your subscription. We appreciate the commitment of our loyal readers, and we’ll work hard to keep you in the Republic’s corner.
We will continue to write about Life in the Bitterroot and cover schools, government, business, the arts and the great outdoors. We will update ravallirepublic.com every day and send out links to our stories via email and social media.
The newspaper will bring you the best of our work, along with the popular TV and local event listings and the advertising that helps you get the biggest bang for your bucks.
If you have questions about your subscription, please email us at email@example.com or call our local circulation staff between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 406-523-5290.
Thank you for reading and supporting the Ravalli Republic. Although the platform on which you receive your daily news may evolve, our mission of telling the stories of the Valley will never change.
