If you are more of a do-it-yourself kind of person, the North Valley Public Library is hosting a “Holiday Cookie Exchange” at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12.
Bitter Root Humane Association Board Member Mary Gehl said this is the 11th year for this special holiday event and fundraiser.
"It never ceases to amaze me how it grows every year and all the smiles it brings to our customers faces as they see all the tables full of sweet treats just waiting for them,” Gehl said. “This year we have over 50 volunteer bakers and if someone can't find that special cookie or baked good treat here they won't find it anywhere."
The BRHA receives donations of favorite holiday cookies in every flavor, shape and size by talented area bakers for the "Cookie Walk, Bake Sale & More."
You have free articles remaining.
Shoppers tour the cookie tables and choose their favorites in any quantity (sold by the pound) and stock up on all the other individually priced sweet treats of pies, cakes, breads, candies and special goodies for four legged furry friends. There will also be some great gift and decorating items, including unusual cookie jars and tins, handmade holiday stockings and holiday jewelry along with whimsical pet items will also be on the sale tables to treat yourself or friends on your holiday shopping list.
The BRHA’s "Cookie Walk, Bake Sale & More" will be held at St. Francis Pastoral Community Center, 411 S. 5th Street in Hamilton from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7.
