The Stevensville Playhouse is producing a live comedy performance of “Christmas Belles” by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten,” Dec. 2 – 18.

Dawn Shinn is co-directing with Gretchen Spiess.

“I decided I needed to attempt directing and Gretchen took me under her wing and showed me how it is done,” Shinn said. “We’ve been having a grand old time.”

Spiess said the play is about three sisters from Texas trying to put on the greatest Christmas Pageant but everything goes terribly wrong.

“It is covering all the stresses and joys of the season through laughter,” Spiess said. “This is a great show for the whole family.”

Shinn said Christmas production is fun.

“The Futrelle sisters are putting on the Christmas pageant,” Shinn said. “It is a comedy with too many fried jalapenos, a kidney stone and more.”

Shin said the cast is fabulous.

“They are fun, patient and working well together so the play seems very natural,” she said.
