Real estate merger: Hamilton’s Diamond Bar-S Land Company joins PureWest Christie’s International

Realtor Bobbi J. Lockhart displays the sign design for their new merger with PureWest Christie’s International Real Estate.

PureWest Christie’s International Real Estate has merged with Diamond Bar-S Land Company in Hamilton.

Realtor Bobbi J. Lockhart has been in the real estate business more than 25 years in the Bitterroot Valley and with Diamond Bar-S Land Company for more than 10 years. Lockhart will remain the managing broker, and Jim Schueler will continue as a broker.

“We have properties all over the board, but we felt that Christie’s International Real Estate would serve our high-end listings better,” Lockhart said. “We think it’s a great company and a great name to be associated with.”

PureWest Christie’s is expanding into different markets and decided the Diamond Bar-S Land Company was what they needed in southwest Montana.

Dale Crosby-Newman is the CEO and owner of Pure Real Estate Group, the parent company of PureWest Christie’s International Real Estate.

“It’s vital for us as we expand to find individuals who have the experience, the talent and the local knowledge, like Jim and Bobbi, for us to grow responsibly,” said Crosby-Newman. “This office is more than capable to help our transition of growth in the ever-important area as southwest Montana.”

Lockhart said the merge fits well.

“We are excited about the merge and feel it opens up more opportunity for international connections,” Lockhart said.

The Montana Christie’s offices are located in Whitefish, Kalispell, Bigfork, Lakeside, Polson, Missoula, Ennis, Bozeman, Big Sky, Livingston and now Hamilton and the Bitterroot Valley.

Lockhart said the Montana Christie’s offices have sold properties with a combined value of more than $320 million this year.

Lockhart said people are the reason she stays in the real estate business.

“I love people, and we get to work with such a diverse group of people. It is never boring,” Lockhart said. “I have a great referral business, and return customers are the majority of my clients now. It’s nice to see familiar faces come back and also to see their children as adults – ready to buy a home.”

Lockhart said she values Christie’s motto of “relationships for life.”

“That’s how I feel too,” Lockhart said. “It’s a good fit. You work with people through the changes of their life and the seasons of their life, and you get to be part of that.”

Lockhart said the Hamilton office is casual, friendly and open for people to drop by for the answers to their questions about their real estate needs, to check on listings or to have a visit.

“The Bitterroot is a good place,” Lockhart said. “We have good relationships, a good Multiple Listing Service board and people who support us.”

Diamond Bar-S Land Company is slowly making the transition to the PureWest Christie’s International Real Estate name and image, so its dedicated client-base will be aware of the change and still know and recognize them.

“We are looking forward to working with a statewide brokerage and to adopt PureWest’s focus on technology, use its resources to adapt to the ever-changing demands of consumers and to help spread our listings and buyers to a bigger, broader network of agents and offices statewide,” said Lockhart. “This signifies a bright future for us and we’re really looking forward to this partnership.”
