HAMILTON -- Corvallis has crowned itself the kings of the Bitterroot Valley.

The Blue Devils' wrestling team topped its nearby neighbors in the Battle of the Bitterroot mixer held at Hamilton's gym. Corvallis wrestlers won nine matches, eight of them by pin, and finished with 71 total points.

The host Broncs were second with 37 points just ahead of Stevensville's 32 with Florence checking in at 20. All the schools compete at the Class A level save Florence, which is Class B.

Hamilton picked up five individual wins, including two pins, and Stevensville scored four. Florence won twice.
