CORVALLIS -- It was just a tad on the "frosty" side Saturday as the Southwestern A Divisional track meet wrapped up at the Corvallis Community Events Center.

Katelyn Frost won three events to lead the Corvallis girls to a dominating victory with 203 points. Hamilton was second at 159 and Dillon was third at 102.

The Blue Devils made it a clean sweep by taking the boys' crown as well. Corvallis scored 154.66 points, Hamilton was second at 119 and Stevensville and Dillon tied for third with 88.

Frost won both the 100 (12.81 seconds) and 200 (26.05), and also captured the pole vault at 10 feet, 6 inches.

In all, Corvallis won six of the 10 finals contested Saturday. Amelia Gardner took the 800 (2:21.80), Jane Booth won the high jump at 5-4, and Brookelyn Palin topped the discus at 120-0.

Second-place Hamilton received wins from Jaycie Schmalz in the 3,200 (11:44.50) and Annika Moore in the triple jump (36-5). The Broncs also won the 1,600 relay in 4:13.86.

Taylor Sylvester and Tyler Olson provided Corvallis with their only individual wins on the boys' side. Sylvester won the 200 in 22.31 and Olson took the javelin with a throw of 191-7.

The Blue Devils also won the 1,600 relay in 3:28.54.

Second-place Hamilton had three individual winners: Kyle Crossman won the 100 in 11.28, Cameron Meikle took the 3,200 in 9:49.36, and Casey Ryter won the high jump at 6-2.

The State A meet begins Friday in Laurel.
