HAMILTON -- The Hamilton Broncs boys' and girls' tennis teams both suffered a pair of losses at home Friday in duals with Polson and Whitefish.
The Hamilton boys were paced by a pair of wins at No. 1 singles. Alex Raymond beat Polson's Colin Kenney 6-2, 6-1, and Whitefish's Max Smyley 6-3, 6-4.
But the Broncs dropped both duals, losing 4-3 to the Pirates and 5-2 to the Bulldogs.
Spencer Tredik and Trever Richards both picked up wins for the Broncs in singles against Polson, but both lost to their Whitefish opponents.
At doubles, Hamilton picked up its only win at the No. 2 spot, when Josh Heath and Bridger Palin came back from a 1-6 loss in the first set to win the next two, 6-0, 6-2.
Hamilton's girls didn't fare much better against the teams from up north.
The Broncs dropped their dual with Whitefish 4-1, and were blanked by Polson 5-0.
Polson's No. 3 singles Tessa Nunlist needed three sets to beat Colleen May, but eventually won 3-6, 6-1, 6-2. The Bulldogs' only loss came at No. 3 singles, where Makenna Benorook lost to Hamilton's Sarah Trihn, 6-2, 6-3.
