The Missoula Hellgate boys' and girls' tennis teams made it a clean sweep on Thursday in dual action against Missoula Big Sky at Playfair Park.

The Knights won the boys' meet, 6-2. In the girls' meet, Hellgate steamrolled to an 8-0 victory.

Leading the way for the Hellgate boys was the No. 1 doubles team of Isak Nord and Grant Porter. They swept past the Eagles' Luke Lingscheit and Jake Tabish, 6-0, 6-0. Big Sky won at No. 1 singles as Rayce Compton outlasted Sean Lodmell in a cliffhanger, 2-6, 7-5, 6-4.

In the girls' meet, Hellgate's No. 1 doubles team of Holland Small and Maddie Keiper defeated Alexis Madzelonka and Anna Slown, 6-2, 6-4. The most compelling match came at No. 2 doubles where the Knights' Sonja France and Kate Koenig rallied to beat Shayla Johnson and Samantha Ormesher, 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-4.
