The Missoula Big Sky and Missoula Hellgate boys' tennis teams couldn't have finished any closer Thursday in their Class AA dual meet at Fort Missoula.

The teams finished in a 4-4 tie, with the Eagles claiming three of four singles matches and the Knights taking three of four doubles matches.

Leading the way for the Eagles was No. 1 singles player Colin Bahin, who steamrolled to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Sean Lodmeil. The Knights' singles win came at No. 3 where Finn Mikkola defeated Francis Caina, 6-1, 6-2.

Hellgate's No. 1 doubles team of Isak Nord and Grant Porter continued its winning ways with a win over Luke Lingscheit and Jake Tabish, 6-2, 7-5. Big Sky's only doubles win came at No. 4 where Jack Haller and Nate Jourdonnais outlasted Bryan Plant and Cooper Webster, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.

In the girls' dual, Hellgate blanked Big Sky, 8-0. Junior No. 1 Sofia Panarella topped Hellgate's list of winners, adding to the momentum she built on Saturday in winning the Missoula Invitational.
