HELENA -- Sisters Sofia and Olivia Panarella are on a collision course at the Helena Invitational tennis meet.

The Missoula Hellgate standouts are both competing in the girls' No. 1 singles bracket. Olivia, a freshman, benefited from two forfeits Friday and beat Abbie George of Helena High, 6-3, 6-2, en route to a berth in Saturday's final. Sofia, a junior, beat Mike’la Atkinson of Billings West, 6-2, 6-2, and Hannah Haas of Helena Capital, 6-3, 6-3, to reach the semifinal round.

If Sofia can make her way past Zoe Lindgren of Bozeman in a Saturday semifinal, she will play her little sister in the title match. Sofia beat Olivia last Saturday in the finals of the Missoula Invitational.

Missoula Sentinel's Katie Veteto and Morgan Harrington advanced to the semifinal round in the girls' No. 1 doubles bracket. They defeated a team from Bozeman in the quarterfinals,  3-6, 7-5, 10-4.
