The road to state begins this week for Class B and C basketball teams as district tournaments get underway.

District 7-B will get things started on Tuesday when the Troy boys host Eureka and the Troy girls entertain Thompson Falls in play-in games. Four more games are on tap Thursday at host schools, while the consolation and championship games will be played Saturday at Polson's Linderman gym.

The District 13-C boys tournament begins with four games on Wednesday at Dale Berry Court in Hamilton. Valley Christian posted a 17-1 record in the regular season to earn the No. 1 seed. the Eagles will face Darby at 2:30 p.m. in the day's first game.

The 13-C girls will join the action Thursday in Hamilton. Seeley-Swan (17-1) earned the top seed in that bracket and will face Lincoln (1-17) in the day's first game at 12:15 p.m.

The District 6-B boys and girls will begin play Thursday at Memorial Gymnasium in Anaconda. Florence (17-1) is the top seed on the boys' side and received a bye into Friday's semifinals at 2 p.m., and host Anaconda (13-5) is the No. 2 seed and won't play until Friday at 8 p.m. in the semifinals.

Ronan (16-2) earned the top seed for the girls and will play in the semifinals Friday at 12:30 p.m., while Florence (12-6) is the No. 2 seed and won't see action until Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the semifinals.

The District 14-C tournaments are being contested in Pablo at Salish-Kootenai College's Joe McDonald Gym beginning Thursday. Arlee (17-1) is the top seed on the boys' side and earned a bye into Friday's semifinals at 5:15 p.m. Plains (16-2) is the No. 1 seed on the girls' side and will get into action Friday at 7 p.m. in the semifinals.
