ERIE, Pa. (AP) -- Kenny Wilson tripled and singled, also stealing a base as the Erie SeaWolves beat the Trenton Thunder 8-3 on Monday.
Jake Robson singled twice, also stealing a base for Erie.
Erie batted around in the first inning, sending 11 batters to the plate and scoring six runs, including a wild pitch and a single that scored Gabriel Quintana and Herlis Rodriguez.
The SeaWolves later tacked on a run in both the second and seventh innings. In the second, Quintana hit an RBI single, while Robson drew a bases-loaded walk, scoring Wilson in the seventh.
Erie left-hander Tyler Alexander (1-0) picked up the win after allowing two runs on five hits over five innings. Opposing starter Will Carter (0-1) took the loss in the Eastern League game after allowing six runs and four hits while only recording two outs.
