BILLINGS - A 50-year-old man on parole for sexual abuse of children has pleaded guilty to receiving child pornography.
The U.S. attorney's office says Leslie Jon Claassen pleaded guilty Wednesday before U.S. District Judge Richard Cebull. Claassen faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison when he is sentenced on Dec. 14. He remains in custody.
Claassen was convicted of sexual abuse in Hill County in 2005. He was living in a Billings motel and attending sexual offender treatment classes at the time of his arrest. Court records say state probation and parole officers made an unannounced visit to the motel and found a printer Claassen said he was using to print out sexually explicit pictures of children.
Prosecutors allege Claassen had written stories that fantasized about having sex with children.
