HAMILTON — Once again, locals are being sought for the TV series “Yellowstone,” starring Kevin Costner, that’s being shot outside of Darby.

The directors also seek extras in Helena for upcoming shooting there. The group’s Facebook page, Yellowstone Montana Extras, said directors will be in Montana from Oct. 16 until Nov. 2, but doesn’t note which days they’ll be in Darby and Helena.

Casting directors Kelly Hunt and Tracy Dixon noted that people who already have submitted prior photographs should do so again. They need to send an email to yellowstoneextrasmontana@gmail.com, with their name in the subject line, and whether you’ve “Worked It” if you’ve worked before or are a “Fresh Face” to the show.

In the body of the email, people should include a name, phone number, age, weight, ethnicity and a photo. Both fresh faces and veterans will have equal chances of being considered.

On Friday, the group’s Facebook page also said the show is "still looking for an African American Male but would consider a female” height 5-feet, 9-inches to 6 feet to work early Monday in Darby. They also need a male Caucasian stand-in Monday. The person should be 5-feet, 11-inches to 6-feet, 1-inch, with dark blonde or light brown hair, age 20-50. The rate is $150 for both positions.

In addition, they need a few more cowboys ages 30 to 50, to work on Monday for $114 for the day, and are seeking extras described as attractive men and women ages 25 to 60 for a bar scene on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Anyone fitting the bill should send an email to: yellowstoneextrasmontana@gmail.com.

According to a news release from the casting directors, “Yellowstone chronicles the Dutton family, led by John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Amid shifting alliances, open wounds, and hard-earned respect, the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders — an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.

“Far from media scrutiny, it is a violent world of poisoned drinking water and unsolved murders. Yellowstone is an intense study of the modern west rife with land developers, energy speculators, assorted politicians, estranged family, and tribal players. Within this pentagon of interests, land lust is insatiable and love is weaponized.”
