George William ‘Bill' Neal

CONNER - George William ‘Bill' Neal, 81, of Conner, passed away April 30, 2011 at the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.

He was born Oct. 4, 1929 in Butte, to the late George Alfred and Ida M. Neal. Bill started sixth grade in Darby schools in 1941 and graduated from Darby High School in 1947.

On April 17, 1951 Bill married Buna Kerns in Reno, Nev. The couple just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Bill was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Alan Neal.

He is survived by his wife Bunny of Conner; son, Nathan Dowdy of Victor; daughter, Judy Neal of Wenatchee, Wash.; son, Jim (Wendy) Neal of Missoula; son, Guy (Jolene) Neal of Portland, Ore.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Masonic graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 5 at Lone Pine Cemetery in Darby presented by Ionic Lodge No. 38 A.F. and A.M. A reception will follow at the Sula Clubhouse at 2 p.m. hosted by the Sula Women's Club. Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton. The family suggests memorials to the Sula Clubhouse or the Shriner's Childrens Hospital.

Philip Joel Perez

STEVENSVILLE - Philip Joel Perez, 23, of Stevensville went to be with his Lord and Savior May 1, 2011. He was born May 5, 1987 in Stevensville to Art and Cheri Perez.

Philip graduated in 2005 and received his associates degree from Miles City Community College in 2008. He was the head coach of the Bitterroot Bucs for the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Philip had a deep love for his family and for baseball. He enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing cribbage, watching Sports Center and watching Scooby Doo with his little sister and niece.

Philip was preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnny Perez and his great-grandfather, Harold Q. Cochran. He is survived by his parents, Art and Cheri Perez of Stevensville; five brothers, Kevin and wife Mandi and their daughter Avery of Glendive, Jason and fiancé Lisa of Los Angeles, Calif., Marcus and wife Brenna of Virginia Beach, Va., Matthew of Stevensville and Ben of Stevensville; his sister, Emily of Stevensville; his great-grandmother, Cora Cochran of Stevensville; grandparents, Eldon and Linda Champion of Stevensville; his grandma, Evangelina Perez of Ontario, Calif.; his uncle Skip and wife Cyndi of Stevensville; his aunt Jeri Piceno of Ontario, Calif.; his aunt Yolanda Girardot of Fontana, Calif.; his aunt Patsy Ryan and husband Leo of Cerritos, Calif. and several cousins.

There will be a private family gathering Thursday evening. Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 4 p.m. at the Lone Rock Bible Church with Pastor Mark Hofman officiating. Honorary pallbearers with be Kevin, Jason, Marcus, Matthew and Ben Perez. The family suggests that memorials be made in Philip's name to the Bitterroot Bucs, PO Box 1111, Florence, MT 59833.
