A young boy from Kent Washington moves to Corvallis Montana with his family. Boredom takes over so he introduces the small town to dancing. Great dancer he was. His young years consisted of cows, horses and the river. His adventurous ways led him to the Navy. Dan loved to share his stories about the navy and the friends he made and kept.
Dan would tell stories about him being his own business owner sheet rocking and being a sawyer but the stories were nothing like the Navy, the river and the ranch. His favorite stories to share were of him being an avid oarsman guiding private tours down the Grand Canyon and the Salmon River. He was proud to share stories of his adventures at the Dick Hirschy Ranch which led him back to cows, dogs and his team of horses.
Dan could always be seen with a big smile on his face. He made friends everywhere he went. Dan’s adventures, his smile and the peace he had in life will always be carried on. Dan’s family would like to invite all that enjoyed his presence to a celebration of his life at 1 p.m., Saturday Nov. 4, in Wisdom. Potluck. Donations or memorials are asked to be given in honor of Dan to the American Cancer Society.
