A dead bull elk was left to rot on or about Tuesday, Oct. 10, near the Threemile Wildlife Management Area east of Florence.
Justin Singleterry, a game warden with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, is seeking the public's help in finding out more information about the bull.
Singleterry said the bull was shot elsewhere and dropped off near the WMA. The antlers were removed and about half of the meat was still attached. Wardens are investigating evidence found at the scene.
