At Saturday’s varsity football game between Browning and Hamilton, Browning got on the board first with Derek Loring running 4 yards into the end zone.
But after the two-point conversion failed, it was all Hamilton with quarterback Carson Rostad passing for two touchdowns in the first quarter and three more in the second quarter to make the score at halftime 33-6.
Browning scored first after the break to cut the score to 33-14. But once again, Rostad cranked up the passing game throwing two touchdown passes to Camron Rothie.
Bridger Bauder added a 32-yard field goal and Michael Golden ran 8 yards for a touchdown to complete the scoring for the Broncs. Browning scored the final touchdown of the game with 17 seconds left to make the final score 57-22 in favor of Hamilton.
The Broncs finished with 436 total yards to 258 for Browning. While Browning held the ball longer than Hamilton, four turnovers really hurt their chances. The Broncs were very efficient when on offense, averaging 19 yards per pass completion and piling up 149 yards running the ball. Quarterback Rostad tossed seven touchdowns with Bridger Bauder rushing for 142 yards on 23 carries.
