The Hamilton Players are hosting an adult, Halloween-themed costume party and dance called “Halloween Spooktacular!” at the Bedford Building on Saturday, Oct. 22. The party will have live music by The Josh Farmer Band, a no-host beer and wine bar, a monster-dance contest, a costume contest, treats, a photo corner and a small silent auction.
Hamilton Players Executive Director Denise Rose said the evening will be “Spooktacular.”
“We held our debut Halloween costume party two years ago and have changed things up a bit for this year,” Rose said. “This year’s event is geared more towards the feel of a party rather than an organized event with a timeline.”
The silent auction includes themed baskets like a Halloween basket, a Pride and Prejudice basket, a spirit of fall basket and a Hamilton Players basket.
“The baskets make great holiday gifts and the proceeds support the Hamilton Playhouse,” Rose said.
The Hamilton Players are having a limited costume rental Oct. 5-28. It’s by appointment only, call 406-375-9050.
“It helps when we know ahead of time what someone is looking for and what size they’re after,” Rose said. “We have big plans to expand the costume rental next season because we won’t have a show at that time.”
The Hamilton Players’ “Halloween Spooktacular!” party will be held from 7- 11 p.m. at the Bedford Building (City Hall) at 223 S.Second St., Hamilton, and is sponsored by Bitterroot Brewing Co. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Purchase tickets in advance at the Hamilton Players Box Office between 1 and 5 p.m., Wednesday through Friday, at 100 Ricketts Rd. in Hamilton or online at www.hamiltonplayers.com.
“We want everyone to dress up in costume, dance, and just have fun,” Rose said.
