Robert E. Birnn

DARBY - Robert E. Birnn was born Oct. 11, 1928. Bob passed away suddenly and in his own words took his last ride to the “Big Party in the Sky.” Bob enjoyed the later years of retirement with his wife of 52 years, Pauline ‘Frankie’ M. Birnn. The couple moved west from River Vale, J.J. to Nederland, Colo. in 1972, only a few years later moving to Darby in 1975 where they have enjoyed the last 34 years.

Bob will be missed by his wife, his German Shepherd ‘Jug” and many friends who shared in Bob’s love for riding bikes. He enjoyed cooking great meals on his wood stove for his friends. He always offered his friendship and was generous with sharing his homemade wine in his “summer kitchen.” Biker Bob loved to ride his 1990 Harley Sportster 1200. His odometer rests at 113,243 miles. A memorial ride will be held in Bob’s honor on Saturday, June 27, 2009. The ride will start at 2 p.m. at Butch’s house.

Friends are invited to join Pauline at Bradley O’s, 1831 Highway 93, south of Hamilton, Sunday June 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. for a buffet and to share friendships and memories of Bob.
